We got another puppy! Our family just got a little bigger. We got Blizzard a new playmate whom we have named Nimbus! He's almost 5 months old and it looks like he and Blizzard are going to get along great! Check the gallery for the first batch of pictures. He is really sweet, and cuddly! |

Sweet new site!A friend of mine from college recently took the plunge to be one of four guys working long thankless hours in a new startup. The company is called Habit Industries, Inc. and it is based out of Palo Alto, California. The company's current project is the website Fuzzwich, check it out over there and you can make cool videos like the one I made. They're really easy and you can customize them really well! |

Vacation on St. Simon's Island! For Charles' Mom's birthday this year, she decided to take her ENTIRE family to the beach! We spent four great days hanging out at the King and Prince villas. We went on a dolphin tour on Monday and saw a TON of dolphins, and a manatee too! Tuesday we took a relaxing sea kayak trip up some of the tidal channels. (We even saw a dolphin here too!) We also rented a catamaran and sailed that around for an hour, just off the island. Eventually I'll get some photos up! |
We met Alton Brown of Good Eats! As some of you know, I am HUGE fan of the show "Good Eats" on Food Network. I own tons of the dvds and watch the show whenever I can. On February 18th we got to meet Alton Brown! We went to a charity event for Heifer, International, where he was the keynote speaker. He is a big supporter of this charity, and I think it's a pretty good one to support. Check out their website for more info. Anyhow, the main attraction for us was that Alton Brown was going to be there. We all got a few minutes to talk with him about the show, and his life. He is a very interesting person, and he is exactly as personable and charming in person as he is on TV. He was also, as should be expected, a very funny guy. He told us lots about his upcoming shows, and how excited he is about filming another mini-series of "Feasting on Asphalt". A little bit of trivia, last time he was filming his cross country motorcycle trip, he broke his clavicle when he fell off his bike. This time he is expecting to be eaten by alligators! Definitely check out his shows, he is a neat person, and his style of teaching is in a league of it's own. Make sure to check out the gallery for all the pictures. (This will be updated over the next few days as the pictures from other people filter in.) |

The Wedding!Aubrey and I got married on June 10th (6 months ago!) and have been living in Kennesaw, near my office, since then. We wanted to thank everybody who helped make our wedding go as smoothly as it went and also to make sure that all of the professionals who helped out knew how much we appreciated their work. The biggest thanks of all, though, goes to all of our family and friends who came out to celebrate our special day with us. |
Photo Gallery Is Up! The photo gallery is finally up and operational. We have posted pictures from our wedding at the very top! They are the best wedding photos I have ever seen! ThirtyFive, Atlanta did an absolutely amazing job! The gallery also includes a lot of other pictures from our journeys, most noteably our Honeymoon, and our family's trip to Japan and New Zealand last winter. Please check it out and make sure to register! We would love to hear your comments about the pictures, and you can also rate them!! |

Blizzard Graduated Puppy Training! For those of you who haven't heard, Aubrey and I got a puppy a could months ago. We started taking training classes from PetSmart the next week. The training went so well! The trainer (Sandi Martin) was amazing. She was always up for questions about specific problems, and always told us the straight answer. We enjoyed these classes so much we are probably going to follow Sandi to her new store in Acworth for the next classes. The training has really paid off, Blizzard is (mostly) behaved, and certainly much better behaved than he would have been without the guidance the class provided. Feel free to check out the photos of his graduating class! |
We got a new car!Aubrey's old Corsica has been on it's last leg for a long time now. Because of her commute, we have been saving and looking for a new car for a while. We have definitely found a winner. Last week Nissan released the new 2007 Altima. We picked up the first one in Georgia that had the features we wanted. It's a 3.5 SL model with all the options. There are two galleries posted in our Photo Gallery. The first set of pictures are at night and some of the interior shots are pretty nice, but the exterior shots really needed more light, hence the second set of pictures. The second set is definitely better for seeing what the car looks like. We are really excited to have taken this plunge. It's got a V6 engine, the same one as the 350Z, with 270 horsepower. The coolest new thing in it, though, is the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). It's really weird to hit the gas and never feel the car shift! One of the really nice things that it has is an "Intelligent Key", you never have to put the key in the ignition, heck, you don't even have to take it out of your pocket to unlock the doors or start the car, because it is a push-button start. It's got a navigation system, a 6-disc CD changer that plays mp3 CDs, an auxilary input jack for an mp3 player, heated seats, XM radio, XM NavTraffic, and a bunch of other stuff that I feel sure I am forgetting. |
